We're constantly launching new products here at HillCo, but some of them are a really BIG DEAL. This new product is one of those! It's the kind of thing we love around here; simple and affordable, but packs a big punch.
Here's a fact: ANY extractor, no matter how well balanced it is, can and will wobble with a load of honey frames. No two frames of honey weigh the same, and no matter how hard you try to balance the frames, your extractor will likely wobble and shake when spinning. Often you aren't able to run your extractor up to full speed due to the wobble, which means longer extracting times and possibly getting less honey out of the combs, because you can't reach high enough speeds to sling all the honey out.
These spring feet will bolt to your extractor in minutes, but can save you hours of extracting time. Not only do they virtually eliminate the struggles of extractor wobble/vibration due to imbalanced honey frames, you'll also dramatically reduce extracting time by being able to ramp up to full speed almost immediately.
No more hanging on to your extractor for dear life, and NO NEED to bolt your machine to the floor! Whether you're extracting in your kitchen, garage, or honey house, our new Spring Feet Assemblies can stabilize your extractor quickly and easily, making your extracting process faster AND far more enjoyable.
If your extractor has a single bolt hole in the leg foot, these spring assemblies should fit! They require a 5/16" hole (or close to that).
Our spring feet assemblies comes in three sizes:
-
Small size: fits 4 frame to 12 frame extractors - including our Enduro, E8, MiniMax, and Maxx12 extractor models
-
Medium size: fits 16 to 20 frame extractors - including our UltraMax, Maxx18, and Maxx21
-
Large size: fits 20-36 frame extractors - including our SuperMax, Maxx24, Maxx32, and Maxx36
Say goodbye to extractor wobble and shake, and hello to smoother extracting! Contact us if you have questions about which size to get for your best experience. Watch the video included below to learn how it works.
Pro Tip: Because springs exaggerate the wobble at slow speeds, you cannot start them slowly; you must begin at a higher speed. With spring feet, you need to turn your speed to high and then hit Run to start the machine. The extractor will gain speed quickly and you should see the wobble decrease as the centrifugal forces pull everything back to the center, much like your washing machine on the spin cycle.

Awesome product
The spring feet really help balance the extractor. You might want to consider having the spring and rubber base fixed so it doesn't come off when moving.
I purchased the spring feet for my 12 frame extractor I was VERY skeptical I even had my hammer drill ready to put new holes in my garage floor because I thought these can't work. Well I ate my words! Cut my cycle times down by 60%! For years our extractor has been our "holdup" 2 guys decapping would have to wait often on the extractor. Not this year in fact a couple of times the guy running the extractor was waiting on us! We did give it a very unfair test and loaded the extractor very heavy one side and very light on the other. That made the machine jump off the floor at full speed but it was easy to hold it down for 20/30 seconds and it smoothed out. For our 61 supers that we ran my son and I figured we saved 4 hours of time with the spring feet versus how we've had it bolted to the floor the past several years!! My son said BIG WIN DAD!! We don't know how to works but it does! Very happy with it. Actually had a friend beekeeper at our extraction and he said I'll have a set of those before my next extraction!! Thank you for a great product! Again it makes no sense to me how it works but it does!
Just finished extracting for the year and man, what a difference these made. New extractor (E8) and these springs made extracting a breeze. Thank you HillCo! Great products.
What a big difference this made when extracting honey! A bit pricey, but I'd purchase again if needed.
