Apiguard is a thymol-based varroa mite treatment for honeybee colonies. The patented slow release gel delivers thymol at the correct dosage to control varroa mite populations. Thymol is a naturally occurring substance derived from the plant thyme.
Beyond varroa, tests show that Apiguard also helps control tracheal mites (Acarine) and chalkbrood, making it a practical natural treatment option for multiple colony health concerns.
