We believe that this is the best entrance reducer and mouse guard on the US market! Made from sturdy aluminum, it should last forever.
The mouse guard is reversible for feeding with a mason jar entrance feeder if desired. A fantastic feature! The feeder slot can also double as an additional entrance slot, for those times when you're building up a weaker colony and don't want a full entrance, but also need more opening than the 3 small holes.
This is the only entrance reducer you'll need all year long!

I think some changes could be made to these Mouse Guards. I do not like the 3/4" notch on the one end. I would prefer in the middle and only 3/8" opening.
The middle is more centralize for returning bees and the 3/8" notch will keep most mice out of the hive.
These are made out of good thick aluminum sheeting. These won't warp, rot, become plastic brittle or decay. These things are truly for forever!
I just love these. It's something that is way easier than a wood guard. Just use some simple push pins and that is it. Flip it around and it's great all summer long.
